Event description:

The 1&1/2 is a staged trail race run over two days over two different courses. The Kauri Half Marathon on Friday, 8 July is a tough trail race partly over single track and with steep ascent and decent sections. The Cairns Marathons in Sunday, 10 July is half on dirt road and half on bitumen, with a long 14km downhill section to the finishline. There are three other events held on the same weekend and over the same course, but with varying distances. The Cairns Marathon, The 3 Marathons in 3 Days, the Cairns Marathon and the Kauri Half Marathon. The 1&1/2 is a combination of the latter two. Early Bird entries end at 9.00pm on 3 April 2016. Late Fees apply from 5 June. Registrations close 9.00pm, 27 June. A portion of the race entry fees are being donated to a local charity.
