Hit the long-distance running train and be cheered on by the crowds on the annual Hilly Half Marathon. Held each May, the challenging event follows road, fire trails and walking tracks through Hamilton Island's undulating interior. Following a rugged 21-kilometre route uphill and down dale, the marathon puts individual and team relay competitors to the test.
